We have a lovely secluded lodge on the estate available for holidays. It is located beside the River Ystrad in a tiny hamlet only a mile from Denbigh Castle. Recently renovated throughout to provide exceptional accommodation for eight people looking for an easily accessible rural retreat. There are glorious gardens, meadows and woods to explore in the immediate vicinity.
The cottage has three very comfortable double/twin bedrooms, a bunk bedroom with adult-sized beds and three bathrooms. Downstairs, the conservatory dining room is a highlight of the house with wonderful views of the river and wildflower meadow. There is a huge, fully-equipped kitchen flooded with natural light, two living rooms with log burners and a further library hall for quiet reading by an open fire. The lodge has a private garden, a terrace with barbecue area and a footbridge leading to a wildflower meadow across the stream.
North Wales is a gardeners’ delight and the world famous Bodnant Garden with its huge collection of camellias, early magnolias, daphnes and a mass of other winter-flowing shrubs is only 40mins’ away. Other wonderful gardens to visit in the area include Portmeirion, Erddig, Plas Newydd, Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens, Tatton Park, Cholmondeley Castle & Chirk Castle. For other day trips, we are located within 30 minutes’ drive of Snowdonia, fishing lakes, cycling routes, fabulous beaches, magnificent Welsh castles and much more…
